This, make a big circle around your feeder with a single hot wire (you need to hot wire train your herd) put the wire at about waist/hip height. Deer can easily jump over it, cows will not (usually).

I like to fence off the entire area I hunt during the season and then take the wire down after the season so cows can graze it through the spring/summer.

Get, or build, a feeder that broadcasts the feed thoroughly instead of dropping a pile on the ground under it. In all but severe drought conditions a cow will typically get tired of eating a mouthful of dirt for a kernel of corn. Make sure you feeder is staked down and tall enough so they can't get to the mechanism too.

I've hunted several places with cows and this was the best deterrent we found when a pen wasn't wanted. A pen is best though, but even then not foolproof if they really want in it.

You can roll it or cut it. I made a square cage for my feeder out of pieces when I though the cows would bother it. You can cage your camera.

Exactly what I will do. I purchased the panels this morning & I have it cut into 6' pieces, got the T Posts too.

Thank you for everyone's input!

Just keep in mind you will be taking pics through those panels so there will be some blocking of view. Also, seems you could get by with MUCH smaller than 6'.

So, what do you reckon? 4' or 5'?

Assuming you are just talking about protecting the camera then it wouldnt have to be much bigger than the camera. As long as the enclosure was either tall enough or had a portion of panel, or something, as a top.

I pile brush and tree limbs around my camera in 10-15ft circle. Cows haven't bothered it since but I get pictures everyday of the cows licking the corn of the ground.

I use a bunch of T-post and hog panels on my protein feeders to keep the cows and hogs out. Simple to install & works great! I haven't fenced my corn feeders. I'll say nothing can ruin a hunt faster than the cows walking in the general area of the feeders. My cows may eat a bit of corn, however, they don't camp out and devour it. They usually move on after five minutes or so.

Distance is not the issue, but the winds can make it interesting!

Up here folks put a ring of old tires around posts they don't want cattle to bother, attached together by a chain/wire or something.

Nothing can tear up a feeder spin plate like a horse.
