Bad information.

I would look for some type of lessor included crime to be agreed to. Something like failure to follow a lawful order or disregard a barricade. .

Bad info. His lawyer said he wouldn't plead to anything.

Well if PC is found to be true at arraignment then there’s something to it. I always thought it was funny to see an attorney who takes a hard line get their butt handed to them. Smart move is plea to a class c and pay for a ticket. Dumb move is keeping it in limelight for months to maybe a year as the sponsors reevaluate their relationship with him.

Unfortunately the public perception is not good. The movers and shakers in Louisville are looking for ways to make this go away quick!

https://www.foxnews.com/sports/poli...estigated-protocol-louisville-mayor-says

Police involved in Scottie Scheffler arrest to be investigated over protocol, Louisville mayor says

Louisville mayor Craig Greenberg said Tuesday that the police officers who arrested Scottie Scheffler will be investigated for whether they followed proper protocol.

Scheffler was arrested just outside of Valhalla Golf Club early Friday morning en route to the course and charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, a felony, among other misdemeanor charges.

"I think that's critically important that we do that, not just in high-profile events like [those that] took place on Friday, but on a regular basis," Greenberg said, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal. "And if policies are not being followed, there will be transparency about that. There will be action taken."

Mostly Ranger, family moved from NJ when he was 10/11 and already showing much golf prowess as a junior golfer.

News this morning is that the Louisville Police disciplined the arresting detective for not activating his body camera at the time of the arrest, but the charges against Scottie will NOT be dropped. Seems like a PR hit for LPD, but maybe it would be viewed as preferential treatment to a white celeb if they dropped them.

Saw that, interesting. Will our resident experts be weighing in and recalling some of their earlier comments?

No body cam video should in and of itself not be grounds for charges dismissal, millions of cases brought and convicted wayy before cams existed. That said, it will come down to testimonies, any eye witness accounts and otherwise, not body cam footage to be weighed for or against Mr. Scheffler.

Clearly he needs to have his rights stripped and imprisoned for three years.

Based on the immediate breaking out of the driver's window, or attempt to immediately break it, what transpired to start this likely was not visible from the pole cam's location. This is what was visible a few seconds later. If he didn't do what was put into the affidavit, then I hope he is found not guilty. With all those people around working the previous fatality accident, there should be plenty of witnesses to what occurred.

So reprimanding the officer who made the arrest, but keeping the felony charge against a pro golfer, family man, dude so pure you might as well be charging Christ himself? Okay.......we'll see how that works out for you, Louisville.

That same officer has been suspended several times as well numerous disciplinary actions against him. They must have something on Scottie that we're not seeing. If not,
they are making a huge mistake going through with felony charges.

Time will tell but police chiefs are politicians so going all in backing his play makes me think there’s a bunch of witnesses. I’ve seen some of the most level headed upright people in society completely lose their composure and do things that are not normally in their nature. Especially when they are in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. If he didn’t do anything wrong I hope he’s exonerated but my experience makes me think there’s something much more than has been revealed. I would like to read the actual arrest affidavit.

Nothing that I've seen from the videos shows scottie being aggressive, uncooperative, or combative, like you would think someone who dragged a police officer on purpose would act. He wasn't driving aggressively, and stopped when he saw the officer running along side the car. I'm thinking it might of been a big misunderstanding, and the officers ego might have gotten the best of him.

Actually, female African American Chief of Police in Louisville. Saw her in presser yesterday morning.
