I think the coon might be overmatched. Wonder if he knows that.


I can’t seem to ever time my hunting to his eating. He looks pretty big, and I’d love to weigh him.

My coons and pigs get along great with each other for some reason.

Coon is definitely out of his 'Weight Class' if looking for a fight.

Truth to that. Watched a boar one night bully a coon off the corn pile. Coon runs into the woods, I hear a bunch of chirping and growling, then about 6-8 coons run out into the open and run that boar off. I was pretty funny.

Last time I shot a hog, I had to wait five minutes for him and a coon to stop bumping noses before I shot (was on a WMA so I couldn't shoot the coon).

sat in one of our blinds about 7 yrs. ago and only had night vision, turned on the ir to scan and saw probably 75 sets of beady lil coon eyeballs around the feeder. I had spread a 5 gal. bucket along with the feeder on a long run. didn't see a single hog that night, there had been a sounder of about 50-60 the night before.

If coons were as big as hogs, I would never go into the woods again.

Had some turkeys run the coons off of a feeder several years ago. Late afternoon and the coons were getting their fill and suddenly they looked up and scampered off. Here came 5-6 turkeys.

Turkey will 'hoover' up corn as fast or faster than hogs will. They just don't eat as much (per animal).
