Bud Light didn't use a trans model as a spokesperson because they are trans-friendly  Not sure why that statement garners an eye roll. It's all about money, nothing else. I suppose Trump recently asking for a "second chance" for Bud Light had nothing to do with Bud Light hosting a mega fund raiser for him, or the millions in stocks he owns. More likely Trump thinks Bud Light cares about him as a person. It's all transactional.

Tranny Light put itself in the wrong place at a very inopportune time and hurt a lot of well meaning AB employees in the meantime.

They stopped because of the support from the company for the tranny movement.

Seems to me that shareholders will take revenge. And, a CEO has only one job to do; keep the EPS high. He/she or it, can’t excuse bad judgement re smearing the brand.
I’m no longer much of a beer drinker but the 2 sixpacks of Bud in my fridge were dumped. I wouldn’t want anybody to mistake me and my outlook.
Kinda like my ex wife .Something to be avoided.

Always thought the whole thing was a bit silly. Companies are not your friends. They will do anything and everything to increase their bottom line. Bud Light didn't use a trans model as a spokesperson because they are trans-friendly, they did it because they felt it was an untapped market, plain and simple. Busch Light puts camo on their cans because they are hunters? That's a marketing ploy by an analyst in New York who has never set foot in the woods. Brands and companies are not your friend anymore than your waitress at Hooters. They want your money. Heck Meateater and FirstLite are owned by an anti-gun activist. It's all about money.
That being said, I always was more of a fan of yellow bellies. You can’t possibly be that out of touch. In a cut and dried symbolic gesture even the slowest on the uptake could not possibly mistake, literally making the Bud Light can the face of transvestites, Bud Light forced their consumer base to decide whether to support or not support transvestism.
