Wow! What a store. After looking over many pistols, I went with the P365 Max, with safety. Shot it a bunch at a gun range. Shoots low at 10 yards, but the sights aren’t adjustable, so I compensated (aimed higher).
Scheels was really crowded, all over, not just the gun department. Other than that, no problems. No stupid people that I could see.
Son in Law (the really bad shot) had a red laser put on his P365, and it made a huge difference in how he shot. He was thrilled. And, he bought a Bond Arms 9mm derringer. Trust me when I say that he could not kill you with if you were 3 yards away. Worst trigger I ever pulled. He’s taking it back.
The trigger on the Sig is nowhere near as good as the one on the FN Reflex, but no safety available on the Reflex yet.
So…we had fun at Scheels

Great choice! Yes, I avoid Scheels on the weekends but im only 10 minutes away and retired. I have my own booth in the restaurant.
SO TRUE on those Bond Derringers. I shot the .45/.410 one and the trigger was100lbs at least.

Perfect, sounds like it turned into a great but expensive trip

The last two Christmas’s I have taken the grandkids there and let them burn most of my CC Points I accumulated over the year. So here about two months ago my son asks the about to turn 4 year old granddaughter what she wants to do for her birthday…. “I want to go to Scheels”!!!

Will they actually take it back even though it's not malfunctioning? That leaves them with a used gun they can't resell as new.. Most dealers would say take it up with the gun manufacturer yourself and I wouldn't blame them one bit.

Scheels is a crazy place. We are supposed to have one open about 10 minutes away in the next year or two.
Let us know how the P365 works out over time. Buddy has the xmacro and really likes it.

Heck, I don’t know if they’ll take it back. Just because the SiL said he’d take it back doesn’t mean it’ll happen. I suggested that he have a gunsmith smooth out the trigger, but he didn’t want to do that. If they don’t take it back, maybe he’ll reconsider the gunsmith option. He’d probably give it to me, if I wanted it, but I don’t.
I think Bond Arms is in Granbury, so he could take it there I suppose. Not a long drive for him.

Wildcat, I’ve run about 50 rounds through it so far. It does shoot low, and that’s a minor concern. That was with white box round ball ammo. Maybe with my reloads it’ll print a bit higher, or maybe a new rear taller sight will be needed. The trigger isn’t great, but it isn’t bad. A little gritty. Maybe use will smooth it a bit.
All in all, it’s an easy pistol to shoot well. A bit snappier than my PX4 full size, but not so much that it spoils my aim. It’s the Macro, with the longer grip, so that helps.
Too wet around here to do anything, so I’ll shoot some tomorrow.

Reading about your new pistol. Wife got a SW Equalizer 9mm with thumb safety as well as the grip safety and I liked it so much I got one and put my .45 away.......local police chief buddy came by yesterday to pickup some catfish I had and he wants one now too.....very slim, light and great trigger. My Springfield XDM .45 had horrible trigger and had gunsmith, Army Armorer, put in new one for me and made world of difference in my accuracy. I ordered the trigger spring sets and he replaced and glad he didn't go with the lighter pull, it had 2 sets in the package. Don't remember what the brand was but did some research and ordered.

Standard 115gr ammo shoots low in all my subcompacts. 147gr standard pressure ammo prints higher and shoots better for me so thats what I generally shoot.
I read that 365 sights are set for combat, meaning hold over the target instead of at 6'oclock where I usually aim. So, shooting 147gr and aiming a little higher now has me pretty much dead on at 7 yards with the 365xl. Might help you as well.
Shoot. Eat. Repeat.

You are right. A 6 o’clock hold will be low. Cover up the bullseye with the front sight and I’m on the money. And when I say it shot low, it was maybe an inch or so low, so not a real big deal. All good, except that trigger. Maybe it will smooth out. And maybe FN will finally offer the Reflex with a manual safety. That trigger is said to be great. I’d just have to wait till after one of the wife’s beauty shop visits. The fortune she spends there will justify another pistol purchase. Do you married guys have any idea what a beauty shop visit costs? You might want to ask. Of course, if you have a 20 year old wife, all she’ll need is 2 minutes worth of lipstick application.
Today will be day one of reloading. Couple hundred rounds of 9mm. When that’s done, a couple hundred rounds of 38. Then a couple hundred rounds of 223. Maybe some Grendel after that. A couple of days work should do it.
And I need to go back to Scheels. When you guys have talked about it in the past, I just did not understand that Scheels is so amazing. And Buzz has his own restaurant booth? I didn’t even know there was a restaurant in there. We country folk need to go to the big city from time to time.

603, try dry-firing it. I did that with my Shield. After about 400 pulls, it was markedly better.

FN doesn't have manual safeties on any of their striker-fired guns so it might've been a long wait before they put one on the Reflex. Maybe they could make a Reflex-sized FNX which does have a safety.

I've had the 365X for several months and really like it. I assume you have the flat trigger? My trigger is pretty smooth.
As much as I like this gun the mag is the hardest one to get full I've ever had. A Range Tray Thumbless helped that. Also, watch that safety. With the safety on and I rack the slide it can pinch a bit.

With much effort I’ve been able to get 15 rounds in the mag with my thumbs and a little cussing. It’s as stiff a spring as in my Beretta PX4
