The Southern Kitchen was a good one here in Dallas. Remember going a few times growing up to celebrate something special.

I saw there are a couple Bonsnzas left. Maybe in Virginia.
It was on YouTube. Still looked pretty solid.

Brown Derby was a favorite for our family.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Loved that place….went to the location on 75 and Yale. I think Clint Murchison Jr. owned it in those days.

What was the place that had the saloon girl on a swing? Wasn’t that Old San Francisco Steakhouse? And that makes me remember Trail Dust Steakhouse in Aubrey!

Steak and Ale. Kensington Club and the best salad at in town. Yep. Big ol baked potatoes. T-Bone Steak and sautéed mushrooms. Michelob draft. Was living the high life when I dined there.

Bonanza Little bit of Sweden Still open but closed to me Panchos Wyatt’s Cafeteria
If you’re a Grove Rat from the 50s-60s then you probably recall The Velmar, The Monterey House and Taco Inn.

I ate at the Wyatt’s on Buckner and Bonanza on Buckner.
I told my wife I wanted Panchos for my birthday, still open next to Vanston.

I use to hit Dixie House at least once a week. Spaghetti Warehouse too. Which Dixie House and what year? I was the original manager of the first one on McKinney in 76ish. Then on to Dixie Lakewood when it opened after that. Wasn’t at either long cause I went into upper management after that.
At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR Keep your gratitude higher than your expectations. RWH
