Doing great this year with all the rain we've received. Hopefully it continues.

Guy, how many hunters are you allowing on that section; and do you offer overnight accommodations?

Thanks Bob for not hurting my internet feelings. roflmao

What's funny those sunflowers started last year and I never planted them. Right on the other side of that fence is where I clean my birds, the seed came from those birds. I normally put my birds on ice clean them when I get home. Seed most likely fell on the ground, rain flowed under the fence with seed into the flower bed. I only been hunting Haskell County for years now, so those are Haskell County sunflowers. I saw it growing last year, knew it was a sunflower, wondering if I should pull it as an unwanted weed but thought it was kninda cool as well...then it blooms and my wife comes in all excited "you see those flowers!!". roflmao

So looks like the sunflowers probably here to stay. Just this morning, I notice they pooped up in another flower bed, and these are much bigger and healthier. The big plant in the back is a wild Pokeweed I let grow, the one in the center sunflower...At first I thought it was more Pokeweed, jagged leaves are sunflower. This bed gets afternoon sun.

You eat, drink, camp, sleep, hunt....all from the same spot, a lawn chair. Just wake up and shoot...

Every time someone mentions sunflowers, I think of Goodland Kansas, where I deer hunt. There are fields so big it takes 20-30 minutes to drive around them! Yup, bird hunting is pretty good too!!

Stompy definitely knows how to grow sunflowers. Talked with him 3 months ago and he helped me with spraying the grasses to eliminate competition. This is what my natives looked like yesterday. Thank you once again Stompy!!

You need some cows to eat that grass. They eat everything but sunflowers.
