Saw a bright yellow spot in the yardthis morning. It is very close to where a sweetgum tree was removed about 5 years ago and get a lot of mushrooms around there. Anyone know what it is and best removal?

That's slime mold. Nothing to worry about, You can blast it with a water hose. Mushrooms are probably from the roots of the tree breaking down. Very common and most likely nothing to worry about either. Unless the shrooms are in a circle then that's fairy ring and you would want to treat that. Google image fairy ring. If very obvious if it's that. Fairy Ring

I need to post some update pics but the previously almost all SA side yard is about 85% filled in with burmuda. The main part of the front yard is 50/50 when it used to be 90% SA. And my mysterious bald spot in the back (not yet mentioned) that's been there for three years now is filling in with SA after I treated it for fungus on my own diagnosis.
Pass the gravy.

I prefer St Augustine, we laid down 18 pallets of it in 2000. Didn’t have an irrigation system, but it thrived with moving spray around until 2008. Harsh watering restrictions ever since, we lost 99.9% of it in ‘08. Watering basically cut back to once every 2 weeks since then, can’t justify replacing sod.

I am actually using a Honda HRX mower at 1.5” cut. I went away from my reel mower due to my yard being so un level. I am not happy with this mower either. I need to sand and level my yard, but I won’t.

I need to sand and level my yard, but I won’t. I`m using the same mower @ the lowest setting right now .75. Mowing my Tif 419 every 3-4 days and I need leveling as well, but not going to happen this year. May raise mine to next height pretty soon. Just ordered some T Nex for the first time and hope to apply it in the next couple of weeks.

I need to post some update pics This was all SA 18 months ago or less. Then it was dead. Then it was weeds. You can see what little needs filled in still and you can also see where the tiny bit of SA is try to make back there top right by the fence. The dirt part was SA too but it's been too rainy and shady for anything to go there thus far. Now a closer look towards the shade where the burmuda is still taking over for the SA. Now for the back yard that has always been and still is 100% SA... Pic of the garden and the dead spot I mentioned for reference. It's getting smaller...
Pass the gravy.

It's coming along. So much rain. Once we get a pattern change and can dry out some I'll be able to manage it better.

We use rotary here and we have been cutting grass every third or forth day. I don't understand waiting when more is coming and we have been rained on A LOT.
Pass the gravy.

Carpet grass. Celsius will handle it. You might look and see if you have any nutsedge or dollar weed. Now is a good time to tank mix with Image. Spray, let t set 24 hours or so then water it in. Image needs to be watered in.

Image needs to be watered in. Can you provide specifics on weight of Celsius granules vs. fluid ounces of Image vs. water vs. suffocate? And where to get Image? Amazon says they won't ship to me. I have carpetgrass, dallisgrass, and nutsedge to kill. I was going to use sedgehammer but if Celsius kills nutsedge and some of the other stuff I need dead, I'll go that way.
Pass the gravy.

Celsius won't kill nutsedge. Image will though. I blanket spray the whole lawn. Per 1000sq ft at 1-2 gallons per 1000. 3.2 grams of Celsius, 4 fluid oz of Image, 1/2 tablespoon non ionic surfactant. Should be able to find Image at your box store. https://www.imageforweeds.com/all-products/kills-nutsedge-concentrate

My favorite "Turf Thoughts". Great ending. I like this one as well. I think anyone wanting a nice lawn will appreciate this "Turf Thoughts" because you`ve probably been there. I know I have. Sometimes less is more. I like the saying "Nitrogen Drives the Bus".

My Home Depot has the Image in stock. I ordered a sprayer, Celsius WG, and surfactant for Friday delivery. I only need it for my new burmudagrass areas.

I've only seen Celsius in store a couple times. Some well stocked feed stores might have it. If you have a Helna they might. They also offer it in small packages now that you can order on Amazon. Dependin how much you need. A full bottle is $130ish. At the full rate of 3.2g per 1000. The small pack will be enough for 2k. .226oz is 6.4 grams Celsius

Download the SiteOne app and you can pick it up from them. There are several locations in dfw.
