Schloss's only tie to Texas is Del Conte, the AD, who was his AD at TCU. ATM won't let money get in the way of keeping him IMO.

Yep, everyone expected the move, interesting that they took so long to fire him. Thoughts are they were waiting for a coach to accept. I hope they have their man.

Money is always great. Sometimes, relationships are more important.

No one really knows the relationship behind closed doors. The A&M guy could be completely happy. Maybe his wife prefers a big city. There are usually a number of factors.

Either way, I bet his agent will use this opening as leverage. A&M has written one of the dumbest contracts in sports history.

ATM has a track record of dumbasss coaching contracts, so I don't see this any differently. If UT is smart and going after him, they better make he and his pitching coach a package deal. ATM's pitching coach is the best of the best.

That's true- only Texas connection is CDC. However, I did read an article that quoted Schloss directly as saying him and CDC used to take 3 mile walks around the TCU campus every Sunday and discuss anything and everything but sports. Schloss said he and CDC have a very strong friendship. Obviously, that does not mean he will leave College Station and he probably just got a huge pay raise from A&M whether they win or lose tonight.
