I recently bought a new Arken 4-16x44, LH-4 rifle scope for my Tikka 223 bolt gun. It's mil/mil FFP. I mounted it yesterday and sighted it in to test some ammo I'm working on. I will say, I'm HIGHLY impressed with this low cost scope. I paid right at $200 for it, plus shipping. For a $200 price, it is by far one of the best scopes I have used. The turrets felt solid and tracked exactly where I told it to go. The glass is very clean. For the cost, I think these scopes compete very well with scopes 5x-10x times their price point. I've purchased some $500 to $600 Vortex and Bushnell scopes, and this $200 scopes blows them out of the water. The Arken scopes have been very impressive!!!

I bought an EPL-4 about 8 months ago and thought for it's price point (~300) it was pretty solid. I haven't used it much past initial mounting and sight-in so I'll reserve further judgment for awhile. The glass is definitely good out of the box; I thought the turrets were about what you'd expect. Their rings felt like $30 rings so I grapped a pair of Warnes instead.

I think I have the SH 4-46 on a 22 bolt gun. I love it so far but would love to put this on a "real rifle" one day to test it.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

I've been doing some load development on my buddy's Ruger Precision Rifle that has a EP-5 5-25X56. I really like his scope, the turrets are awesome, the field of view is excellent and I like the reticle. The elevation is repeatable and so far has held up well. The EP5 glass is suppose to be Japanese and clarity pretty good for a sub $500 optic.
I'm strongly considering purchasing one of their EP-8 1-8x28 FFP LPVO for my Ruger SFAR.

I have 2 EP-5’s they’re definitely hard to beat for the money. I swapped one out on my 22 comp gun from a Gen2 PST which is 3 to 3 1/2 times the cost of the EP5 and it’s much better especially the turrets the vortex turrets feel like cheap toys compared to the Arken.

I've got an LH-4 VHR in mil spec on my CZ600 American and just ordered a 2nd to replace the Burris on a Cascade that I have. Love the Burris, but it's in moa. Found that even for hunting, maybe ESPECIALLY for hunting, I prefer to have a mil spec instead of moa. The Arken has been rock solid over the two months I've had it (not a long time) from 100 through 320 yards (nothing breathtaking yet). Easy to make any adjustments I need with the turret or the holdover and I've got game trails at various points between those two distances...just never know where the pigs or coyotes will pop out. I will echo the remarks I've seen that the reticle is pretty small at 4x, but I don't have any issues with the illuminated center like some others do. It has held zero, glass is as good as the Burris and Leupolds I have, even in low light. It's got decent parallax and the eye relief is as good as the others even at 16x. It tracks well from what I've experienced. So, for the price, I am happy with it. Do I wish it was MADE in the U.S.? I do. But it's not. And until something that performs better at this price point comes along that is made in the U.S., for what I do and what my budget allows, this is currently my number one choice.

It is a trig function, same as MOA is. Both of them are pie pieces of the circle.

Looked at the EP-8 1-8x28 FFP LPVO for the CVA SS BO. But that reticle? Wish they had a plain crosshair. Not shooting at people!

It's got a funny 'man body' KLBOX target reticle. Seen other comments same as mine.

Not gonna lie, that’s a pretty worthless reticle (even for shooting at people)

Not gonna lie, that’s a pretty worthless reticle (even for shooting at people) It’s made for those common core mathematicians. Just put it in a box. 2+2=4 or maybe 2+2=5.

Big circle at low mag. with very small dot. Dot turns to horseshoe at max mag. with the 'ladder?' under it.

I agree, it's kind of a dumb reticle. But back in the day, you could use the mil reticle to range a person from their belt to the top of their head. It could get you close enough. this does the same concept. Sometimes I feel like the optics people let their kids draw up a reticle for the scopes.

That's the funky reticle found in the EP8, not the EPL4 that the OP was refering to.

It was $200 directly on their website. But like I figured, they will be going up in price. Vortex did the same thing when they came out. Sold their scopes low, then raised prices.
