Will there be a left handed version for the handicapped among us?

I was incredibly impressed with the accuracy of the barrel and at this powder load the STD DEV of 5.2 seemed great. At 26.0 grains, it turned sour.

This first shot felt a bit snappy and when I inspected the fired case, the primer was pushed out slightly. I packed up my new Garmin Xero C1 chronograph and headed home.

On another reloading website, and they were talking about a different caliber 30.06 I believe, they had an issue similar to mine with the primer pushing up out of the pocket....in my case about .006. The response was not an overpressure but is typical of too much headspace with an intermediate pressure load. if I interpret it correctly, the firing pin pushes the cartridge forward, the pressure wave is enough to seal the mouth, locking it in place but not enough to expand the base....leaving a little gap between the base of the cartridge and the face of the bolt, thus pushing out the primer. Once the load approaches the higher pressures....this sort of corrects itself as the base of the case expands.

I am fairly new to reloading, in fact the only rifle cartridge I have reloaded is 300 AAC. Has anyone ever experienced this? On my WC (Starline brass) the headspace is at minimum, maybe even a .001 or .002 below minimum..... at least according to the WC combo gauge that I use. My plan is to resize the fired cases and duplicate the load that I used the first time. Any thoughts or words of wisdom are greatly appreciated.

Just back from a successful "management" hunt for Addax and Oryx down on the Bar JP southwest of Uvalde. I used the new 110gr Lehigh Tipped Xtreme Chaos bullets and they performed flawless. Both animals were DRT and the 55gr base fully penetrated the quartering Addax. Shots were in the 100-125yd range. My son-in-law Cam (his first EVER hunt) also took an Addax and Oryx with my .358 Win shooting 180gr Tipped Controlled Chaos, both were also DRT. He's hooked on hunting now!
