how deep is the water under the bridge? Navionics shows the depth is 54 ft deep in the ship channel thanks. I was wondering why so much was still above water.

Why should we, taxpayers, pay for this? Does Maersk, or the ship operators not have liability insurance. Go knock down a traffic light or light pole and see who's insurance pays for it

This way one of his brother's companies could build it back better

My son & Grandson use that bridge traveling back & forth ta work. He (son) & his wife both on different shifts fire department. She went with fire chief on his personal boat ta help out.

They need to start rebuilding the bridge right now. They can't wait for 3 or 4 years for the company/insurance provider to fight with each other about who is going to pay. Let alone wait and then one of them declares bankruptcy. The feds will rebuild it and then take whatever company is still in business to court to try to get the $$'s back.
