My great grandfather - he joined the Navy at age 17 in 1919. Then he joined the army. He died at age 20 in private plane crash in 1922 when lightning struck his plane. Thanks for all the nice comments fellas. He was very proud of his service. He and my mother are both buried at DFW national cemetery.
