I’m looking at several used machines with sub 3,000 miles on them. Anyone have first hand experience with these models? Pros and cons.

Best machine you can have. Keep the filters clean and the oil changed
I did a shocks upgrades and that was a win

I have a 2016. Has been super reliable. Won't win any races but will go anywhere and mine gets worked hard. It regularly gets 1000-1200 lbs of corn in the bed and driven through some rough stuff.

2 other guys on the lease have them and have had the same experience.

Stock, they are low riders, so depending on how you use it you will probably want a lift or the Hester shocks/lift.

I have deisel version of the 17 mule, and it just plain works. No problems aside from when the kids drive them thru grain fields ajd fill the radiator up with seed and was prone to overheat. Cleaned that put and it was fine after. Obviously not the mules fault for that.

only two con’s: air filter location(gets dirty quick), and they dont come with bus bar(easy add)

Elka shocks and heater are two huge upgrades.

My 2016 diesel has had no issues except battery last summer. Top speed 29mph, downhill with a tail wind. Only 250 hours, loaded down with 4 hole dog box.

Pro FTXs are all we run here on the ranch and we've got 5 now. They are extremely durable and reliable machines if you just keep the air filter clean and service them every 100-150hrs. We run Castrol Edge full synthetic 10W40 in ours, service every 150hrs and have never had an issue. We've run several of these machines 30,000mi+ with no major issues.
