OK, steal a couple of vehicles, sell them, then lie about it. More bad advice.
If someone rips you off in a business deal, that sucks and there are remedies. Becoming a criminal to settle a debt with a criminal isn't a good idea.
Just think of all the additional entertaining posting content it would create.    A new reality TV show, "Deer Lease Court". That would be popular on here. I’d watch it.

At the end of the season, he told us we had lost our lease and we needed to get our stuff off ASAP after the season. The land owner was a woman that was nearly 80 years old. She showed up when I was getting my blind and told me that he never paid her the money for the season that we had just hunted. She said she knew we had all paid him or we wouldn`t have been there and she didn`t blame us. What a real POS. His name was Ron Day from Burleson.

Also, something to consider when going the legal route, it will cost you way more money to get the money you put in back out, if you even get that money back. The lawyers always make the most in any kind of lawsuit, whether small claims or big claims. And just getting an award or judgement against someone doesnt mean squat, getting tangible money out of that award or settlement then costs you a lot more money. Usually you will spend hundreds if not thousands to get a couple dollars back, so factor that into any direction you want to go... But the satisfaction of not sitting there and taking it will open my wallet!!!

justice of the peace court, 10k max. claim, no lawyers allowed, you, accused, witnesses, documents.
cost me 111.00 when I used it.
if you win the jp will give them x number of days to pay, not done by then you have the right to send a sheriffs deputy to repo anything needed to equal the amount.
might look into going that route.

hopalong, you are talking about small claims court but lawyers are allowed. They usually aren't used because of the smaller settlements. My elderly parents used a lawyer, won the case and the other party had to pay the 650 dollar lawyer fee.
