They work. I said i would never get one but after watching it 3 afternoons last year I bought 3. One for where I live and two for the hunters at the lease to use

I bought mine after last year's season, and used it for the first time today. I pegged the body once, but just glancing blow. I was AMAZED at how the birds zeroed in on that thang!

At least this morning, there were two kinds of birds in regards to the mojo. If the birds were planning on heading to the field I was in (a sunflower field) then they would try and land right on top of the mojo, which made for easy shooting. However, if they set out that morning with somewhere else in mind, they would fly right past without ever paying the mojo any attention. The mojo is well worth the investment and does a great job of bringing birds right to you when you are hunting solo.

We had good luck this morning with two mojos set out below 10 clip on dove decoys. Mike called me when he found the decoys at Wally World for 2 bucks a piece. We had them on a fence and two doves came in and landed with the decoys on the fence!! Never would have thought it would happen!! I felt a little foulish putting those up but the mojo you bet shot lots of birds over mine.

OK. Bought one. Put it on a pond dam and my buddy killed 9 doves that landed real close to it, or in the tree next to it. He said they would circle around and come right to it. Maybe it's not a gimmick after all.

There are times when but a mojo is a waste of time and money. I have hunted fields and ponds where I either absolutely knew the flight pattern or there were so many birds that it did not matter. Mojos work real well when there are several slightly different flight patterns in larger fields and ponds.

Not all the dove that see them will fly to them, but a very large percent will, so you need one for sure. 2 works good, one pointing north and south, the other pointing east and west, that way they are seen from all directions, and also add to it some ground decoys. They work best in a feeding field, or where there is sand and grit, if you every look at dove landing in a field from a distance, it looks just like those mojos. We had this set-up this weekend, there are also some ground decoys, all of this worked well.

I believe they are a tremendous asset-both the mojo and wind powered units. Not much wind in early season, unless you go out west where its always blowing, later in season plenty of wind back home with fronts for wind power. i have my wind power mounted on 3ft, 3/8 in dowel, attached to 5 ft long bamboo with black cable ties-gets more attention in thick stubble, sunflowers, and better movement in wind. sometimes use the clip-on dove decoys on dead snags/barbed wire fence. dont do much on ground cause by the time they finally see them, they should be already shot.

Got my 1st Mojo this year. Had to wait for a few dove to clear the dang thing before I could shoot. Good choice I made.

We hunted evenings only around roosting & watering holes (most just mud holes) north of Lubbock.

I was around Black Sunflower and Milo fields all weekend with a pro dog trainer... He "rolled his eyes" on Friday evening when I pulled it out and set one up with 3 decoys on the ground about 20 yards from my wife (It was her 1st time ever hunting). By the end of the hunt my wife & I had limited out and he had 7 birds. He stated that he was watching birds turn and swoop down on the mojo.

We had hawks circling above and I was just waiting for one to go after the mojo.

Saturday evening he was setting up a mojo he bought that morning (he sent out his wife to get it in town - 40 miles away). He said that he wanted to try it out since his boys were coming out next weekend to hunt with him - needless to say we all limited out pretty quickly.

He told me just before we left that he would never had bought a mojo if he had not see it for himself... my response was that I didn't think it would work either until I saw the dove dive bombing and landing right around the mojo and decoys.

I had not hunted dove for the last five years because of select baseball coaching duties. I had never heard or seen a MOJO so when the guys were talking about these devices the night before at the campfire I was a bit skeptical. My skepticism lasted for maybe 2-3 minutes opening morning as flocks of dove (6-8-10 or more in a group) would enter the field at mid point down from the MOJOs and would make sharp left turns (in this case) to fly toward the MOJO that was spinning. this was an electric one with moving wings. I sat and watched in complete amazement as some of the dove actually went into a hummingbird type flying motion and sort of hoovered over the MOJO. Being really smart dove hunters we positioned the damn thing so when the birds would fly to that level they would be right in line with a guy's new Ford F-250 thus not allowing us to shoot at them until they took off. I can't believe that anything this effective is permitted by the TPWD. I have spent tons of money on deer cocaine, turkey decoys and other crap that simply took my money and didn't deliver squat. this decoy may be too effective.

Love the slim decoys on the ground! Never thought of that but will give it a try.

I bought a MOJO this morning (Friday, Sept 11) at Academy. I asked the guy in hunting (Lewisville store) if they were still on sale for $29.99 today and he said no. I picked one up anyways and when I checked out it rang up for $29.99. I guess they are on sale.

I didn't believe the hype either, but at $30 I figured I would try it out. If it wasn't for the decoy we wouldn't have shot one bird. It was weird how the birds would come straight to it and land by it. As others said I even had a hawk try to teabag it. Overall I'm thoroughly impressed. I'd recommend one to anyone who is hunting a large field with birds and not enough hunters.

I bought one this evening for 29.99. I hunt the treeline on a small field in the flight path. I am going to try to put it on the middle of the field on a tpost. Ill post results tomorrow.

I put the MOJO in the middle of a 3 acre field and I was on the treeline. The birds were flying over in packs of 20 or more. None of the packs came down to check it out. I had a few strays make a few circles and passes at it but nothing came within shooting range. It was cloudy and raining and not a great day to be dove hunting. I managed a few but I was not impressed with the MOJO. Maybe if I was hunting a bigger field.

Some won't give it a second look but others will try to land on it.
