That brings back memories brother.
My Dad loved chili dogs. Many times I would drive home from SE Louisiana and stop & visit with my old man. Seemed he was always eating chili dogs and drinking coffee. LOL.

You were right. Certainly worth waiting for. Properly grilled franks are a treat, and the crisp snap of the casing is superb. Chili dogs tonight, with cheddar, onions and jalepenos.
