Spent a couple of days at Bastrop State Park. Enjoyed the park and a bit of hiking. Ate at the Roadhouse a couple of times, just outside the park. Really decent food. Service was a bit slow, but that was Ok. I liked the place a lot. Today, on the way home, we stopped at the Dixie Cafe in Hearne. Not much to recommend. Service was good. Food though, meh.

Next time try the Mexican food place next to Buc ee's. Really good food, service is above average and the Margarita's are great. Also Bastrop Lake park is pretty neat. Holler and I'll come over to share a drink. Or two.

Maxines downtown was pretty good, I remember the fried green tomatoes being really good.
