I can remember growing up, before we had an electric waffle iron. Mom just made us griddle cakes in the cast iron, which is how I do it in the RV. I always insisted in two flips with eggs on the side. IMO the best food that I'll ever eat are simple meals that our Parents & Grandparents fed us when we were young. A 5 star restaurant can't touch my Granny B's salmon patties with a squirt of lemon juice fresh out the foil it was wrapped in at the ball park, my Dad's fresh fried Speckled Trout & shrimp, or my Mom's deer chili, cakes & pies. Any time you make or eat a meal with love and memories in it, THAT'S a meal.

SB:: I sure agree there. Love going thru the old cookbooks and finding recipes from my Mom and GMa scribbled on 3x5 cards.
