Thinking about getting a new gun rack for my ranger. In the past I have used scabbards and a floor type mount. Typical use for my ranger just around the ranch or to and from stand. With all the options out there I wanted to get opinions from my fellow THF friends.

What do you recommend, looking for positive and negative thoughts on options.

Are you looking to have your rifle enclosed in a boot, outside of the cab that rides directly behind the rear window? Or, something in the cab for quick access if you want to get to your rifle quickly?

I have settled on a plastic hard case laying in the bed. I just throw one latch so it's quick to get a gun from.

I am looking for something in the cab to also allow for quick access. I like the scabbard which is also great for keeping dust off. This is more for rifle or snake charmer.

Here are my inside the cab, and outside the cab solutions. I keep a rifle up front that gets dirty, and a rifle in the Kolpin that I want to be kept as dust free as possible.

Which model gun boot is this? Will it hold an AR?

Kolpin. Not sure on the AR question. Give Kolpin a call or visit their website, they have good product support.

Zip tied an old 'Uncle Mike' holster to the front basket of ATV so I can have the pistol handy, Kolpin clamps on the back for the AR with a red dot so who cares if it gets dirty.

I'm in the same boat. The Polaris is a little tricky b/c the passenger bench seat. would be nice if the middle seat flipped up on its own like the Can-am. Somebody recommended this one, but I'm not convinced it would fit if you have the cupholders on the floor in the center.

Another buddy runs this one and is happy, but I think it's definitely more for a shorter barrel brush/pig/coyote gun than a long hunting rifle.

Curious where you'll wind up, I haven't decided myself.
