Back on topic…I couldn’t have one for an only vehicle and hunt…or expect to rent a truck periodically. I’ve got an old Super Duty v10 that I use when I need to tow something or pick something up. Pretty good combination, doubt I could afford to feed that v10 if I had to drive it daily.

Rover Defender might be another option??? I’ve always heard they aren’t dependable and cheaply built but they do look interesting.

Those Lexus 460 LRD’s are great off road.

Keep in mind a large segment of the population does use these vehicle as intended. They just don’t live here in Texas.

I'm still driving my 1997 Land Cruiser (with 342K miles on it) and my Wife....her 1999 Lexus LX470. Said She is still perfectly happy with it and doesn't really want anything else.

Pricing for the Toyota LC and the Lexus GX will probably be all over the place. There will be a big market demand for both. I can only imagine what the dealership market adjustment will be!!!

Yep, about to turn 200k on ours.

The new one has a turbo V6....... I don't know how well it will hold up. The V8 and transmission setup in the old ones are practically bullet proof. It's a little bit of a crap shoot with the 2024.

I have not seen one in the wild yet, I saw somewhere it might be a few more months before they are out

Had to replace the valley plate gasket on our V8, which seems to be fairly common. Only repair in 12 years.

You're doing great if that's your only repair. Not many domestic offerings can say the same.

Stopped into the Lexus dealership today. New GX won't be hitting the dealerships until ~ end of May according to Sales Manager I spoke to. They are about 6 months behind schedule.

Here’s an idea. Buy what you want and it need a bunch of other guys options on what you like. Odd deal for some I know.
