I'm not a big fan of pickles but if I do buy them I get Best Maid. Texas made and grown in West Texas. I know their farm manager and some of their growers so I'll support them and a Texas product when I can.

Is that even a word? A gherkin is a small plant related to the cucumber.
Do not trifle in the affairs of dragons, for thou art crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Mama just happened to be grocery shopping this afternoon and a quick text yielded a successful haul. Great stuff, but I think I'd prefer the slices.

If ever there was a mass-produced product that could never be improved upon, this is it. I would tell you to change my mind, but you can’t. Costco- Just compare ingredients. Some of the best pickles Ive had Walmart has these too.

Only pickles my kids will eat. They know the difference and the facial expressions are hilarious if it isn't Claussens Haha! My wife is a pickle snob. If they’re good, she not only has a face but coughs two of three times. And before she catches her breath, squeaks out “good pickle!” She’s a Claussen fan. And truly misses the OG Central Market in Austin when they had a pickle bar. Like a kid in a candy store.

Would love to try the Grillo's, but no Costco nearby. My go-to has always been Nalley's Banquet Dill, but they don't seem to be widely circulated anymore. I make do with Mt. Olives. Not a Claussen fan. Too much garlic or something. last time I was ate walmart had them

Claussen's are pretty darn tasty, but they're also a little pricy. For half the price, the Mt. Olive spears are a great alternative.
For slices, I prefer Best Maid-great crunch, great flavor-great on a burger.

They are the best. Available at Walmart and probably most grocery chains, Look in the refrigerated section not on the pickle aisle. I sold them in my meat markets @ Winn Dixie and then Brookshires. There always seemed to be a jar with a defective lid that we had to sample. My favorite pickle brand for sure.
