Buddy and I have been trying to figure it out. Original thought was a mangy yote as has been suggested, but we also think the size and body shape looks cat-like too, and with something in its mouth. Tail makes a cat conclusion problematic, unless juvenile lion? All the yotes I've seen this year have been very healthy and full coats. If a coyote, it's young.
