That's such tired rhetoric with the assumption that all schools in the SEC are good. First off, the SEC conference schedule is 8 games. Nobody plays Bama, UGA, LSU, etc. every year. For each of those schools, you'll play some mix of Arkansas, Miss St., Auburn, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt. Not that they'll suck every year, but those schools are consistently mediocre. And then every SEC team plays a non-conference game against another Power 5 (4 now) school and 3 ridiculous patsies. For example, aggy plays Notre Dame, McNeese, Bowling Green, and New Mexico St.

As we had a NC tonight. I saw a story of the 1984 orange 🍊 bowl. Milami and Nebraska, the game was tied at the end and Tom Osborne went for 2 instead of extra point and failed and lost.

Both Nebraska and Miami were undefeated. If he went for extra point, they most likely would share the NC. No overtime in 1984.

Consequently, Texas was also undefeated and lost the Cotton Bowl game against Georgia.
