We've been at freezing or below many mornings. The first frost came in November.

28° this morning. We've had plenty of winter. And I'm already over it. If the temp starts with anything less than a 5, I don't like it.

Give me 100° over freezing any day.

Yes, let’s taunt Mother Nature at the first of January. Did y’all learn nothing in 2021? January/February is our deep winter. For that fact, the Mesquite still have their leaves. I haven’t hunted in shorts this year near as much as the last few years. It’s been pretty mild but still plenty cold.

Oh and for the folks down front, if you have Bermuda grass…spray anything that’s green right now with round up.

Hope you feel better soon Colt. Ice fishing is a great way to spend cold days after hunting season.
A good snow on top of that ice will help you keep your footing.

You can spray Round-Up any time you wish.

1 pint per 10 gallons is also 1.6 ounce to the gallon.

I see a weed in my yard, I spray it. Even in the growing months. At that rare, it will not harm Bermuda.

In fact, I need to investigate the rate to actually kill Bermuda. If memory serves it is around 5 or 6 ounces to the gallon.

Forecasted to be in the teens here next weekend. We’ve had a couple of pretty cold mornings so far. This was on Wednesday:
