Does warm weather like we have had so far in NE Texas cause the RUT to be very late?

Nope. A lot of it happens at night when it is hot and just not as visible as when it`s cold.

Nope. A lot of it happens at night when it is hot and just not as visible as when it`s cold. ^^^^Concur. Peak breeding is very close to same time every year per a given area. For various reasons you may or may not notice it is going on but they are getting bred.
At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR
