ReelTexan, can’t agree. Some people can’t handle the discipline, can’t conform, etc. I did my 4 years in the USAF , 1964-1968, and did well. No regrets and got out as E5. Got some GI Bill money and went back to finish the college that I had screwed up from the ages of 18 to 21.

OTOH, My younger brother was sent home after about 6 weeks in Army Basic. He just couldn’t conform, accept discipline, etc. I didn’t ask what type of discharge he got but I expect it was a general and I expect that it was well deserved.


Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.
