I’m looking for a new pistol setup. Easy to shoot, multiple mags that work with multiple pistols. I’m looking at another G19 or another P320. My P320 is an RX full size. Just wondering about opinions on these. Also looking at 1911 9mm. Maybe even p229 or p226 in 9mm.

G19 is very versatile with the right ammo.

G19s are hard to beat for a general purpose gun. I don't really enjoy shooting them but they work 9mm 1911s are awesome, a 2011 is killer, I have an STI 2011 (now Sticatto) that is flat out amazing. Last year I wanted to get another 9, primarily for banging steel at the lease and I wanted it suprressed and with a red dot. Ended up with a Walther PDP full size. I LOVE that gun. Added a brass backstrap, magwell and baseplates to offset the supressor weight. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/12/full-15587-408152-walther_pdp.jpg)

I have gone through literally dozens of carry pistols of virtually every brand over the past twenty years as I carry every day and my all time and current favorite is the Wilson EDC-X9. I have a staccato as well and it is sweet but I prefer the Wilson over it.

I like Glock for polymer pistols but my write in vote is a CZ75.
I think the CZ is mo betta than the Sig P226.

I can attest that a 1911 in 9mm is super fun. I have a Tisas 1911 9mm that’s broke in and awesome. Very well built and ahead of some more popular brands for sure. I think it’s a Duty BR9. It’s the black model with a rail. I added a magwell and some new G10 grips. Super cool now.
If you can catch a sale they’re like $550 out the door. I think it’s a lot of gun for the money.

Shot it and fell in love so bought one of the BR9 Carry models for my daily carry. Also did the same thing put on a magwell and some new G10’s. Tisas is really good for the money. Looking forward to their new stuff. I was thinking of getting another one for my Christmas present to myself but I’ve read online that in 24 they’re coming out with a 2011 for under 1k. If it’s anything like their single stacks they’ll be a LOT of bang for the buck. Think I’m going to hold out for one hopefully soon. This is the carry model

My daily carry is a gen 2 g19. I have close to 40k rounds through it without a single failure with my ammo of choice. Federal 9bp or 9bple. When this one dies I have 3 more that are new in the box to replace it. Something tells me that they will be around longer than I have left. I carry a Delta Elite or a BHP in a jack [censored] rig in the winter when I can wear a coat all day. Haven't tried the Sig 320 yet and doubt that I ever will. I also have a j frame on my person pretty much all waking hours.

I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect. Some people live an entire lifetime & wonder if they ever made a difference in the world, a veteran doesn't have that problem. Reagan

In an earlier post you stated you frequently have operated a Mossberg 590 under high stress. When was that? Is the pool business that competitive?

I wear the exact samething everyday day just so I can carry the same stuff everyday. 2 Leatherman Waves, a modified Surefire 6p with extra batteries, 2 Spyderco Civilian knives, G19 along with 3 g17 mags, a 5 shot revolver of some sort and a few reloads worth of ammo in speed strips, and a zippo lighter.

Staccato 2011 is my favorite pistol these days. Otherwise I love H&K and most Sigs. I have been eyeing a PDP though bc everyone that has one raves about it.

I love my STI 2011, I have the DVC limited. I want to keep it iron sight and not mill it for a red dot. This PDP is my first Walther but I absolutely love it. I did put a lighter trigger return spring in it. Great gun
