98% driving around pig/coyote hunting. 300blk.
Scopes are within 1” and 1oz so size wise extremely similar.
Burris will be brighter. Illuminated is a wash. Both have bullet drop reticles.
Don’t know how much 1x shooting I would actually do.
Both China made but exceptional warranties.
$300 for the Vortex, $250 for the Burris.

When it's Burris vs Vortex, Burris is always the answer.

Based on the usage described, hands down the Burris.
In general, Burris vs. Vortex when the price point isn't too far apart, Burris all day long.
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

Brands aside, i think the 2.5-10 is one of the best power ranges. Shooting both eyes open with a 2.5x is very doable to me.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

Got the Burris in the mail today. Amazing how compact the scope is even with the 42mm objective. Illumination seems plenty bright. The ballistic reticle gives me a point of aim with subsonic ammo.
As mentioned seems to be fine with both eyes open.
Thanks for the input.
I’ll do a formal review when I get it out to the range, but it may be the best entry level at hunting scope option.

You had mentioned that Both were made in China. I thought Burris was made in Philippines. Now that you have the scope, does it say made in China? Or Philippines?

When the full field series changed from Fullfield E1 to Fullfield IV they switched to china.
Seems built as well as previous models. Best turrets on any Burris Fullfield model I’ve handled.

That's disheartening.

But that's good to hear.

This is what got me started on Burris, this 12 year old Fullfield II, 2-7 x 35 that's been on my .300 BO all that time. Hunted it hard, killed everything... deer, coyotes, piles of hogs and a badger. It rides in the Ranger, gets very dusty, been dropped and through all that has never lost zero. Super bright, clear edge to edge. Several years later I needed a scope in the $450-600 range and bought a signature HD in 3-15 x 44. I don't always drop $1,000.00+ on a scope, so I'm glad Burris is out there. You're going to be happy with your choice, leave it on 2.5, if you need more X you'll likely have time to crank on it. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/12/full-53199-408282-img_2226.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/12/full-53199-408283-img_2224.jpg)
