I think if Texas wins next week and either FSU or Washington loses, they might get in. Unless conference champion means nothing.

I have been perplexed why Oregon is above Texas. They have no ranked wins.


Conference champ is a criteria. But not as important as the “eye test”. Last years TCU was not conference champ.


This committee loves the PAC. If Oregon beats Washington. I could see both getting in. With Georgia and Michigan.

Just win next week and let whatever happens, happen. I if they get in great if they don't no big deal, I think Sark has them going in the right direction. IMO they still have Room to grow, I don't see them as serious contenders.

Just my opinion.....and yes, I'm a UT fan and grad.....but Texas is one of the best four in the country based not only on record, but eye test. FL State is massively overrated and of course sadly lost their meal ticket at QB. Their conference sucks, but at least there's one last chance they lose to Louisville and get knocked out. And sorry, but neither Pac 12 team impresses me, but one will probably get in regardless. Michigan is the real deal, as is Ohio State, who is now done just because they won't be in the conference championship game. My top four are:

Georgia
Michigan
Texas
??? 'Bama (if they beat GA) or Washington/Oregon

Hopefully Texas gets in because I think they're in that group and assuming they beat OSU. But this system kind of sucks still.

The Cowboys will play for a Big 12 title for the second time in three years when they take on Texas at 11 a.m. Saturday in Arlington.

Another fun percentage to see: OU’s chances at ever playing for a Big 12 title over OSU again is 0%. Had OSU lost Saturday, it would have sent the Sooners to Arlington and set up a Red Rivalry Rematch. Instead, OU played its last ever Big 12 contest on Friday as it leaves for the SEC.

The Pokes also become the only team in the entire conference that has made more than one title game the past four years. That includes exiting powers OU and Texas, neither of which had played for a conference championship since 2020. The Longhorns haven’t since 2018.
