I just remembered an ancient old buck on our last place. I was in the blind and he hobbled up within sight of the feeder and slowly and painfully laid down in a patch of sun, closed his eyes and let it warm him. I just didn't have the heart to end it for him and ruin his little bit of peace.

Not a bad way to go 🤷🏻♂️ Looks like a good buck in his prime, always wondered if the old heads still pass on good genes if he bagged a doe that year,
