Hard to believe A&M and Texas has so few top 12 finishes with so many good recruiting classes.

With 12 team playoff, there will be reserved spots from the SEC for gergia, alabama, lsu. That leaves one more spot for the remainder of OU, Texas, aTm, Ole Miss, Florida, and Tenn.

For the BIG, there will be reserved spots for OSU, UM (if they are alive after the investigation is over), maybe PSU.

For the ACC, Clemson, FSU.

From the Big12, there will spots for the champ and runner up (maybe).

That leaves 3 spots, one of which will go to the nonG5 highest team. SO that leaves two for the remainder of the SEC, BIG, ACC and Big12. The chances of aTm (or Texas) meeting that goal while playing in the SEC are slim to none. Might happen once a decade....maybe.

However, depending on how teams match up in the non-conference games, we may see more mix up and the teams that don't compete in the non-conference might get the advantage. It will be interesting. Who does aTm have on their non-conference slate in the next 5-10 years? Looking ahead, the year for them may be 2027...non-conference slate of Texas State, Arkansas St, Arizona St, and New Mexico....

Like it or not with the additions of Texas, and OU that 10% success rate will drop even lower........

Petrino said last night that he was practically handcuffed by Jimbo when it came to running the offense. Said it would keep him up all night knowing he couldn't run the offense the way he wanted to.
