Looks good. Just because hunting season is done doesn't mean archery stops. Keep working at it.

Even on a bag target, sticks straight out with a 100 grain point at this length. 100 grain point is the way to go with this arrow at this length. 10, 15 yards same results. I have been doing this for a half hour tonight, I have tried every weight i got. 100 grains flies straight, hits what I am aiming at, out penetrates everything else i have tried.

Even a 125 grain point starts to come out a little bit sideways and makes more noise. Not by a lot but it doesn’t do this.

I guess I could just increase point weight and keep trimming but I am so freaking pumped to have good and accurate bare shaft flight. I don’t want to fuss with it anymore. I am gonna fletch em up and shoot 100 grains.

This arrow weighs in at a whopping 451 grains. Fletched up will be maybe 465 give or take, and whopping 8% FOC. But man she flies good. Around 8 grains per pound give or take. I am going to hunt with that.

What a great thread. Seems a lot less BS on texas bowhunter than a lot of forums. Very useful, thank you.

So i finally got around to fletching. I did a 4 fletch with the tiny little 2” gateway rayzrs, why not put a “tuned” arrow to the test? Whisper quiet in the dark, and they stabilize every 100 grain broadhead I have tried so far.

Now I have to choose between my very marginally tuned, still under spined homemade woodies with a perfectly hones 2 blade or the perfectly tuned carbon shaft with any of a myriad of 3 blade heads in my box. I am seriously considering a rage slipcam too. I bet the original 2 blade rage would do the trick and piss a lot of people off lol
