This buck was a nice 8 point last year. After a year of growth, he got bigger. Would you pass or shoot this year?

If I thought, he could make it another year I would wait. He is a good looking deer.

Give him a year (or two) if he will most likely make it…

Ultimately, your shot to take or not deer2

I would pass him up and let the neighbors shoot him because I’m just that nice of a guy. It’s true. Ask around.

There is a very good chance he will make it to Next year. My neighbors like to watch the deer in our neighborhood and I’m the only one who hunts in the area. I’ve had multiple chances at this deer and couldn’t pull the trigger, thinking about what potential he could have next year. Would he just become a bigger 8 point or possibly sprout more points.

He could add some more. I've seen plenty of middle age 8pts grow into 9 and 10s. A big 8 is way better looking than a weak g4 10pt anyway

Love the big distinct White markings on him, especially his eyes.

if you have a big backyard of 100 + acres and very light hunting pressure around you I would pass.
Another it is a nice looking buck, your call.

He’s got some awesome conformation genetics. If you have other legal choices this year; bag and tag him after next years rut. Just keep him happy! Guessing he is 5 1/2 years old. Tough one to pass on for sure.

The age old question of whether to wait or not and take the chance someone else shoots him. He looks very shootable. I usually say wait but this is a definite fence sitter…

IMO he is big enough its worth the chance to pass this year.

Beautiful Buck.

I bet in another year he would add a 'sticker' or two, brow tines gain a 'little' length and see a bit more mass.

Would be a spectacular buck then.

IF chances are good for survival this season....I would definitely let him go another season.
