Here’s a pretty Kingfisher that was paddling around in a spring fed creek where I hunt. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/11/full-3751-405622-img_1722.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/11/full-3751-405623-img_1721.jpeg)

Never seen one like that? What species...do you know? All of ours look like this belted Kingfisher. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/11/full-56101-405683-bkf.jpg)

I stand corrected! I had no idea what it was and had never seen anything like it. Several people told me it was a Kingfisher and despite my doubts, that’s what I called it. Thanks for the correct identification! I saw him swimming around a creek on my deer lease in Blanco County. Thanks again!

Never seen one like that? What species...do you know? All of ours look like this belted Kingfisher. Same here in Menard. I have a few on the San Saba River and Clear Creek. I have never seen a blue one. Adios, Gary

The OP's pic is of a beautiful 'Least Grebe'.
