yep, younger buck but looks like most bucks that age around the Burnet area that isn't managed or protein fed. What part of Burnet County?

there some pretty good deer around that area if they can get 5+ years on them ... hard to do with smaller tracts of land

2nd buck is older than 3.5, maybe much so. I'd be looking to see him in person and get a better idea. As for smaller, it's been a rough two years of drought-give peace a chance.

We were on a 300 acre LF lease right outside of Marble Falls two seasons ago. My SIL took this buck. Scored 160. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/11/full-47343-405680-img_3912_2.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/11/full-47343-405681-img_4317_1.jpg)

We had a big (4500 acres) family ranch outside of Marble Falls near Round Mountain for much longer than I've been alive and the typical mature deer we'd see were around 130-135" 8-10 points. The last year before my cousins decided to sell we took a 160" 12 point off of it which was by far the best deer we'd ever seen there
