Got a call from Clint yesterday afternoon. He was checking cattle on a ranch in NW Menard County when 4 bucks chased a doe in front of his pickup. I have noticed that the bucks around the house are starting to move around the girls, testing the air.
Adios,
Gary

I'm in far south Brown County and saw the first signs of rut activity yesterday morning when a small buck came through head down and pushing a few does.

I saw a young buck pursuing a doe yesterday afternoon about 2:15. She wasn't having any of it, but the buck was not giving up either. With all of these overcast days, it won't be long before the real deal is in full swing.
