Lol, of course I don't speak Spanish....... the wife can get by though.

Talk to me about Barcelona and anything on the outskirts. That's where we will spend the majority of our time. I enjoy architecture, so any must see places?

Just curious. I speak Spanish and Portuguese. It helps in the smaller towns. But they speak Catalan in the Barcelona Catalonia region.

Couple of things for Barcelona:

- La Sagrada Familia
- Casa Batlló
- Las Ramblas
- La Boqueria Market (find the little restaurant that has razor clams and have some)
- Make dinner reservations now, https://www.canmajo.es/ca/
- Barcelona Maritime Museum

TurkeyHunter is spot on here. In Barcelona I suggest trying to get reservations at El Asador de Aranda and indulge in some roasted suckling pig.
Drinking a good Spanish wine and eating tapas with a view of the Mediterranean does not suck. Enjoy the trip up

Perfect, thanks for the info appreciate the info . Food and wine will make my wife happy.

Sea Bass Baked whole in Salt

If you like fish, and have not ever had that, get it.

Be sure to try these:

Grilled Galician Razor Clams

Perfect, I checked for reservations and they start four months out. We won't be there till October of next year. The wife loves clams, well definitely that and make that spot.

That looks good!

I'm no help. Only been in the airport in Madrid and wasn't a fan of it.

Multiple times.

Barcelona is a vibrant amazing city. We have never felt unsafe and it’s a clean city.

Spain in general is clean, modern, and fun. My personal favorite city is Madrid.

Suckling pig as mentioned by dk is a must have!

If in Madrid go here for it. Oldest restaurant in the world.

Makes me hungry thinking about it. Be sure to make a reservation.

We are gonna cruise out of Barcelona, but plan to get there a couple of days in advance to take in the city.

TurkeyHunter and I sure have traveled similar circles. You definitely don’t eat there without a reservation weeks in advance. And if I remember correctly you have to preorder your meal. Was the only mutton I’ve ever really liked. They have a tour you can book as well that’s pretty interesting.
