I saw this guy tending a doe Wednesday afternoon. She’s in wheat field next to fence, he’s off property 425 yards.

He'd be special DQ if had some brows... Agree, but he was either born without them or they got knocked off a few years ago and won't grow back. Have pics of him last year without them too.

That’s a great buck DQ. You gots to get him! My guess is he’s about 8 1/2-9 years old. He’s at his prime.

What have we been seeing, witnessing the past 3-5 days? Is the rut wound down pretty good, completely? Have the bucks started hitting feeders again instead of the ladies, lol??

Camera card from past weekend showed mature bucks locked up on does and young bucks cruising. They should start transitioning out in next week or two

Hunted 11/24 and 11/25. All activity was concentrated in first hour of morning and last 90 min of evening, with nothing in between (past few weeks had seen some late morning and early afternoon movement). Did see a couple bucks that looked to be cruising. Bucks were casually checking out does but clearly none were in estrus, but that should change in the next 2 weeks when we see 2nd Rut activity.

Finally able to take out our first couple does of the season as they are becoming more visible following the rut. Evenings were presenting better hunting opportunities on our place. Saw one of our target bucks, but he had broken off both brows and a G2 so hopefully can make it to next season. Neighbor took a 4yr old we had a few years of history with, was hoping to get some more age on him, but it happens

Much less activity this last weekend than the weekend prior. Although there were 79 pigs on our wheat at 5pm on Friday (and many more groups seen throughout the weekend) so that may have something to do with it? When there are 15 pigs at the feeder 10 minutes before it goes off that can't be good for business. Nine total sits between 3 hunters and two legal bucks seen. Nephew shot a decent 10 on Sunday morning.

What are we seeing in Young Co. the past 5-7 days? Has a secondary rut begun to kick in yet? Seems that deer may still be away from the feeders as of last week, is that still the case? Could sure use a Blue Northern to blow in and put things on "chill down" for 3-5 straight days, get critters out and feeding...

Deer started hitting corn last week of November which is usually a sign on our place that rut is over and they shift into late season feeding behaviors. Never see a notable second rut

Last weekend was slow for us. We are overrun with pigs like I have never seen. Multiple sounders on our winter wheat in broad daylight, not uncommon to see 100+ pigs at once. Sat our best blind Friday evening and saw nothing, Saturday morning 5 small bucks, Saturday evening nothing.
