Had one for lunch yesterday because of this thread. It reminded me why I haven't been to Whataburger in years. Used to be a "go to" many years ago. Whatabuger has gone downhill since they started an agressive expansion way back when.
I have eaten at many Whataburger all over the DFW area.
Some are great and usually those are always great, and some are medicore. That is my biggest complaint with Whataburger is their consistency from store to store.
I have one go to burger when I eat at Whataburger and have tried them all over the place and it's pure greatness when I can pull into a Whataburger drive thru at 4 am and order a fresh and hot hamburger :
Sandwich only, Double Meat with one slice of chees, all the way with extra pickles and add jalapenos and guacamole and mustard.
