Where I live in Frisco, they have taco shops all over the place, so I have alot of choices

DQ is a ice cream store, and should stick to that only. I have tried the hamburgers, belt buster, etc and the steak fingers, etc in the past, pretty bad overall and I like about any kind of food.

I Love me some Frito Pie,
and I Love me a Whatburger double,
but I dunno about mixing the two up (which each has it's own unique taste).

Try the Cinnabonn Hot Coffee from Taco Bell, it's pretty legit

@topwater. Do I have it wrong? The burger I'm talking about had frito's, chili, cheese and mustard. Was that a Beanie Burger or Frisco Burger? Been a loooooong time.

When I was young the steak finger baskets were damn good, and was routine to eat there once a week after church. At some point long ago they changed the meat in the steak fingers and I haven't cared for the SFB since. Burgers are good when I'm hungry & in a hurry most of the time. Had the grilled chicken sandwich from DQ yesterday and it was bad, won't do that again. The Popey's blackened chicken sandwich is where it's at, that's a good sandwich.
Even though we are covered up in Mexican restaurants, when I crave crispy tacos I go to DQ. They're good.

I'm not big on chili burgers or chili dogs, messy. I'm still sore at Whataburger for getting rid of the A-1 Thick & Hearty Burger, it was the best. Life long Whataburger fan here, it pains me to say it but they aren't what they used to be either. They said nothing would change after the Chicago buy out, but they lied. Used to be better. Used to be tradition every Wednesday night when I was home I'd take my kids to Whataburger. We tried a little hole in the wall place here close to where I live and holy cow, those are some damn good burgers & gourmet hot dogs. Very seldom ever go to Whataburger anymore.

That Popeyes sandwich is great.
Whataburgers Spicy chicken sandwich is good too.

Yes it is. I like the old Whatachicken better, but their spicy chicken sandwich is good.

Love chili burgers, have rarely had a bad one. If I'm not sure what to order at a new restaraunt I'll order a chili burger if they have it. If you can't make a chili burger taste good then I've got zero interest in trying anything else on your menu and doubt I'll be back.

I'm that way with new Mexican restaurants and carne guisada. Always order carne g first, if it's not good I won't be back.

Guisada is some good [censored]. Did you know that you just can't wrap up anything you want in a tortilla and call it Mexican food? Hispanic friend of mine just told me that. I was like wth are you talking about man, that is exactly what Mexican food is. I thought that is what guisada is made of - stewed whatever you want in a tortilla.

I would argue that. A Warm Girlfriend on a cold night is definitely 'better'.

The one and only great Stanley's Beanie burger. Very similar to a frisco.....but Stanley's was outstanding. I was told the old man died and nobody wanted to take it over.
Besides what you mentioned, it came standard with onions and japs.

I tried it. Pretty good. Next time, I'll have them leave the fritos off. They actually detracted from the burger imo.

Had one for lunch yesterday because of this thread. It reminded me why I haven't been to Whataburger in years. Used to be a "go to" many years ago. Whatabuger has gone downhill since they started an agressive expansion way back when.

Here in Graham the DQ’s are privately owned and the food is good. We have a K&N root beer here that is close to 70 years old and on only its 3rd owner. They have the best chili cheese burger I have ever had.

Do they make oil filters too?
