I can’t get out to hunt till mid November, so this all I got. Just looked like fall near downtown Dallas today.

Let me know if you can find one for that price and I’ll buy another.

Damn things are pricey! To replace mine would be $84k. Same truck in 21’ was $72k. In 2017 it was $54k….

Way back in 2001 my parents bought a F-350 for $38k.

Things are going to keep going up

If I were in downtown Dallas I wouldn’t want a picture to remind me. Nice truck though.

That is why I keep my 2006 Super Duty. I bought it in 2010 for $19K and it is a lot cheaper to put a new engine or transmission in it if needed than to buy a new truck. I will NEVER pay the prices they want for trucks these days.

I had 2007 with 80,000 miles good truck. Still miss my old 7.3 though it had 198,000 miles.

My history is long with Ford diesels, but I won’t bore you.

Keep on doing you.

Like that color.
I saw one at the store earlier and to me it's really interesting especially in the bright sun.

I did not care for the color in the bright sun, looked boring to me.
On overcast days it appears to have more of a Baby Blue color which looks good.

Bought my first F250 in 2008 for $32,000, it was a brand new FX4 Lariat. I also made $39,000 that year. Everything has basically stayed the same, just tripled.

I bought my used V-10 dually with 48,000 miles from a Ford dealer the day it was to be sent for auction in 2014. By coincidence a coupon was received in my email for $500 off a used vehicle from this same dealer just 2 weeks prior. It had Excursion car mirrors on it; I said “I buy one; you buy one” then handed the salesman my coupon. Original asking price was $19,999; I received a sale price of $15,000. Less the discounts of $800…drove away with it for $14,200!!
It was bought to tow my horse when I started Team Roping. So, it only has 110,000 miles now, and I can sell it for nearly double what I paid today. Sad [censored] situation.
Would love a new one like yours. Hope you can use it to help return that investment in some way. Bet you’re loving it.

That same truck today would run about $78k. I priced them a few days ago.

Truck dealerships have got us with the “ you have to order them” no more haggle if there is no on-lot inventory.

That's why I hope to never darken the door of a dealership ever again. Paint-by-numbers, antiquated con game. Had to deal with a lot of truck dealerships in our business. Our equipment was many times worth more than the truck. That made the idiots running the places really bow up. They're not even close to true businessmen.

I wonder if a fleet sale would give better service.

I always hated the “ traditional” car buying process of “how much would you like your payments to be?”, “let me speak to my manager” and other b.s.

Now it’s “ well, we order it and when it comes in, we will give you a call”. Which is ok I guess, but they tack whatever price on it that they want. But, I guess at least you know you didn’t leave money on the table.

This isn’t indicative of every dealership, Toyota here for instance, has many trucks on the lot and they are still playing the old games. But buying 3/4 ton and up, you’re basically ordering it. On the lot trucks are going for more due to the immediate availability and not the 3-12 month wait time.

Got my 2023 F350 as a special order for X-Plan, which under the circumstances, is a pretty decent deal these days. Just gotta find the right dealership and ignore the idiots selling "at MSRP."

Nice, but I'll stay with my 99 F450 7.3L with 199,000 and 17 F150 3.5L Ecoboost with 89,000, makes a good combo....

Actually it’s got metal flake in it, really changes color depending on the light.
