I have been trying to find a load for my rem 700 in 308 for a while now. I am finally getting closer. This is Remington brass Remington 9 1/2 primers 39 grains of H-4895 OAL of 2.758 Shooting Sierra HPBT 165 gr 100 yards Now if I could just get those 3 touching, I would quit trying and settle. But that is the joys of reloading. [img:left] [/img] Sportsman, split groups like that often can be tightened up with a change in seating depth. Try loading different batches and start with some about .005 off the lands, and then shorten the seating depth 0.010 between each group of 5. (I like 5 shot groups just to make sure it was not a pulled shot). Write on the length on the outside of the loaded case, just in case you drop them or mix them up, (BTDT) and keep good notes. If that does not produce results, try a 175 gr. bullet with some Varget.

So I might go shorter and see if that tightenes them up some. Thanks for the info
