Hmm. Good observation. Wonder what that means.

Sounds like Sark is giving info tomorrow on the injury.
Speculation is broken clavicle or sprained AC joint.

They said he threw a few passes after the injury.

He said he was gonna join only fans to temporarily keep up with the Longhorns . I’m not sure he understands what only fans is. He’s under “SA Raccoon Saloon”.

Bryce Young had an AC sprain last year. Missed two games. They say you can still play through it.

I would guess he will 2,weeks.

They never mentioned Bryce grade AC sprain. Here they mention grade 2. There are grade 1,2 and 3.
Three being most serious.

Hope he gets back this year.

I’m glad my backs on the mends because laughing hurts. Can’t believe the sports analyst couldn’t come up with that.

Im sorry for seeing him hit hard in his left shoulder and then him
Having a sling on his right arm.

I thought it was unusual his other shoulder got injured.

I been saying all year Malik is the better college QB

Ewers is overrated

They will be better without him

I thought the same thing, but read that it was actually injured on a sack and not the scramble play.

If Ewers is that good and depended on that much for the Longhorns, you would think Sarkisian would instruct him to get as much as you can out of the scramble and then get down. As desparate as Texas sounds about Ewers being out, why is he risking injury by trying to run over defensive players?

Maalik has been in the system almost 2 years and will be an adequate backup. Not like Hudson Card going in when Sam Ehlinger was out. Sark will tailor the game plan to his strengths. Ewers is better, but this is not the end of the season.

Now the D is another issue. If they can't get BYU off the field, BYU just might have a chance.

Besides Armchair QBs on hunting forums, where are you reading that Texas is desperate?

spot on. Maalik will have enough snaps that the offense will be moving well. Same Big ? mark as last week, What UT defense shows up.

Just read this article and thought it might have some truth to it.

A loss could be imminent should Texas lose Ewers for extended time

UT’s biggest hole isnt in QB depth. Sports writers need clicks.

I bet BYU is more focused on how to exploit UT DB’s this week, then stressing over QB. They might put a little extra pressure in on a blitz package to see how good his reads are but i bet main focus is exploiting UT’s defense

my 2cents, and its truly not worth much. BYU had/has just as good of chance to win with Ewers then with out.

I agree, everybody knows I love Texas but to see Houston shred the secondary and the top 6 schools play really good,,IDK. I hope they can continue to win and face OU and see where it goes.

Listening to ESPN Dallas as I live in DFW and they touched on the Ewers injury and if there was any level of concern. They stated Texas feels like they could rush for 500 yards on BYU's D if they wanted to and Murphy could start almost anywhere in the country... Interesting take.

ESPN Dallas went off the air in March 2022. That frequency has been a Christian worship station ever since.
