Garcia was this years Nelson moment. He can be blamed for being a big baby. His antics on the homerun woke up the Astros. I said whoever won game 4 would win the series. I still can't believe the Rangers made it this far with one of the worst bullpens in history. I guess we should be happy they got this far. In a weird way I think rangers win game 6 and Astros win game 7.

Im slowly recovering but not enough to go back and respond to some of the comments or recap all my thoughts. I do know for a fact that the series is not over as long as there is another game to play. Thats how I look at it and Im sure the Rangers feel that way. One comment is that Altuve is The Man-no doubt. Also, I dont know how they can throw out the pitcher in that situation. I read today they threw out Maldonado too but I thought they just pinch hit for him in the 9th.
At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR Keep your gratitude higher than your expectations. RWH

Yesterdays game was playoff game 100 for Altuve. Experience counts. I’d be willing to bet he retires as an Astro.

I read today they threw out Maldonado too but I thought they just pinch hit for him in the 9th. Agree that this series ain't over, not by a dang site. Both teams need to get back to work. And I don't believe the umps ran Maldy. Just Garcia, Abreu, and Dusty. But they were pretty unreasonable throwing Abreu out. Considering the game situation, no team would intentionally do that. I don't think Bochy really thought so either. However, by his actions, it's clear Garcia was expecting to get plunked. Already had it worked out in his mind.

Garcia is a punk, lost all respect for him after slamming his bat and acting like a little bitch at the plate.
He's trash.

Instead of everyone running on the field, throw anyone leaving the dugout or bullpen out. Let those overpaid peckerwoods fight it out. Then throw the loser out.

Used to be a hitter would eat one next time up for celebrating too much after a big home run. With the newer generation of MLB players, you're allowed more wiggle room. That being said, Garcia should have expected to be HBP after his complete disregard of sportsmanship. When he got hit, obviously on purpose, he should have proudly jogged to first base. He did not. Instead, he jawed at the catcher since there's an umpire right there. If he was committed to the gripe, just go after the pitcher.
On the other hand, Dusty Baker deserves a one game suspension and a $50K fine for tampering with the game by refusing to leave the dugout after being ejected. He remained as a distraction, diversion, and a time waste to ice the Ranger reliever. It was a cold, calculated, and dishonest move by the unsportsmanlike Astros manager that delayed the game several minutes by design.
We should be used to the Astros pulling stunts like this by now.
Pass the gravy.

Baker was fined. And I think the delay is much ado about nothing- I don't think think Baker tried to do anything other than fight for his pitcher and team. Baker himself and all the talking heads who have followed him his entire career all said he's never been that hot before. It wasn't an act. The umps were unreasonable running Abreu and it just shows how clueless they actually are when it comes to the situational game of baseball. Why would the Astros risk losing arguably their best reliever over something like this?
Not only that, every Astros-hating baseball talking head has said that there's no way it was intentional. Even Ken Rosenthal. Even John Smoltz sided with Dusty during the broadcast. Only folks convinced it was intentional are some of the Ranger players and most Ranger fans (some Astros fans too).
As for the delay itself, meh. Pitchers know very well they could be sitting on the bench for 5-10 minutes during a quick 3 up, 3 down half inning, or even 30 minutes if their team has a big offensive inning. No pitcher comes out a says, "Well I gave up the homer because my team made me sit on the bench too long." This is part of the game and if a pitcher cannot deal with it, they shouldn't be a big league pitcher. Not only that, Leclerc could have kept loose in one of the cages under the stands if he really wanted to.
Finally, the Rangers while still leading the game, had every opportunity to retaliate against an Astro and they didn't. Hmm...

I forgot I have an Astros shirt that was custom-made for me in the PI in 83. Sucks that it doesn't fit anymore!
