with costs rising , my representative says I might try Medicare Advantage. Like most of us on this part of the forum I have lots of crap always going on, see several different doctors for my ailments. Anyone tried the Advantage Plan?

Advantage is great...as long as you don't get sick. If you do get sick, well, good luck. You have been warned.

First contact your docs and see what they take. It’s not a sure thing.

Good advice......I just signed up for mine yesterday. I`ll be 65 in December. I went with plan N after reviewing lots of videos and reading other information. Plan G will probably have much higher increases in the future, so I figure on saving more $$ in the next 10 years even if I do have to pay 20 bucks for doctor visits. Just remember.....If you get on Advantage, you will have to go thru underwriting if you want to get back on traditional Medicare. Good luck if you have anything wrong with you. You might look into a high deductible plan G (50ish bucks per month). Lots of agent's don`t even tell their clients about it because the commissions are some of the lowest. If an agent won`t sell a HD plan G, get another agent. The agent I used even asked me if I wanted to look at the HD plan G, but I had already made up my mind what I wanted prior to our meeting.

FYI.......The Advantage plan pays the highest commissions to the Supplement agents. That may be the reason some of them push it so much. Plan G after that.

We were renewing my wife's military dependent ID card today and the guy made sure I was aware that I needed to sign up for Medicare A & B before I turn 65 next year and before I renew my own ID card.
