I raised a coon one time, he was ah a bad [censored]. Could open anything in a apartment. Liked to eat the minnows out of the minnow bucket. Cool pet, but he left looking for a female coon.

My son has a barn he raises my granddaughters show pigs in. Never had an issue with coons getting into the feed until this year. He has caught 8 coons and rehomed all of them in the past 2 weeks. I even had one try to take the grease bucket off of my pellet smoker last week, but only spilled the black grease on my patio, making a mess that my pressure washer had to clean up. It`s been a hot, dry summer and they`re just trying to make a living.

I've been giving them pay back. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/download/Number/39292/filename/20230901_225828.jpg) Nice! Give ‘em hell. They are incredibly destructive animals.

Caught 3 last night. One in each trap. One of them had reached in with BOTH paws. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/10/full-56101-402764-coon_both_paws.jpg)

Back from 1980 until 1985/6 my hunting partner and I averaged over 10k a year in selling hides. After we would skin whatever we shot , I would wash the hides using my wife’s shampoo, blow dry them and comb them before rolling and freezing them. The fur buyers would always hold up our hides and tell the other sellers that this is how you get top dollar.. We sold hundreds of $35/40 coons and lots of $250/300 bobcats.
some people like silver and gold I like brass and lead with a little powder in between
