My guess would be post mature. He has pretty good hock staining year 1.

Wish I had some of those not so great genetics This is the biggest buck on the ranch, and I'm not great at scoring on the hoof, but, 135-140ish? Don't know if I would call that great.

Any pics from Late October or November in the previous years? That should be the most telling pics age wise.
With just these pics, I would call him 6.5 this year

With just these pics, I would call him 6.5 this year This guy has a tendency to disappear in Oct and Nov, and show back up around Christmas time. I'll try to ground check him this weekend!

Congrats to the cuz on finally ground checking it Obviously the game camera date is wrong or you have a some fuzzy math going on  You wrote ( 4 years ago...) Yet the camera shows January of 2021 which would mean we are living in the year 2025  In that picture of 01/07/2021 he is at least 3 1/2, if it was actually taken 4 years ago then it would have to be at least 7 1/2 years old. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/11/full-1274-404654-ub_buck.jpg)
