Only 1 limit yesterday, slowest weekend so far this year. The front this week will probably resupply me, I know there's some birds north of me.

October 22nd is my last day. If there are birds here during the split, I'll sell a handful of hunts then too.

I killed 12 Saturday morning at my place. About 50/50 local birds to northern birds.

It all started cuz my sister in law that's married to my brother. He's always been more of a fisherman, but he does hunt. Years ago she asked if he caught a deer yet and it kinda stuck.

I am south west of Graham. I'm not here dove hunting, but we have fields recently planted in wheat. Lots of grain visible on top too. Usually Dove would be all over it. I have not seen a dove on the property last couple of days. Nor any other kinds of birds for that matter.

I hunted our pond Fri afternoon to finish up from the morning hunt. Only needed three so didn't take too long, but on the way out I noticed more birds than I've ever seen on the newly planted wheat. I didn't see any last weekend. Either it took a while for them to find it or they just moved in. Just NW of you in central Baylor Co.

we were in a wheat field in baylor county also but no birds were going to the field. We hunted the brush and it was slow but managed to get a few. All white wing too.

Did you happen to accidently (as part of normal farm practice of course) spill some wheat seed on the ground?

On a serious note, how much seed is normally wasted and on top of the soil for the birds? I do not have a feel for that at all.

Last front blew in mega wads of birds at our deer lease. Some of the best dove hunting I’ve ever seen in Texas. Wish my son would have wanted to dove hunt one more morning rather than deer hunt. 0-3 on deer. 3-3 on dove limits

If it's drilled in, there is very very little. I broadcast mine and drag it in, so I'll have just a little more exposed than drilling.
