The Michigan St coach has a similar horrendous contract that MSU gave him in 2021. 10 years, $95 mm guaranteed with an out clause for immoral behavior. I believe they have an out to fire him w/ cause because he's been sexually harrassing a sexual harassment advocate. Bizarre story all around, but I'm sure MSU is chomping at the bit to fire him. I could spend pages on recruiting, classes, why certain kids pick a certain place. They watch other kids, depth, who they have to compete against.
Why they are a 3 star vs 5 star.


Awhile back I looked at 2019 five stars who shoulda have been drafted this last year. I think maybe 5 were first round.

Alabama gets a lot of in state guys. They aren’t 5 stars, some are very rural and coached by a history teacher. Maybe in wrong position. None are ready to play immediately.

Take Overshown for example. High star recruit, but took 5 years to develop. Because he was from a small town program. Kept switching positions.

He was one of my favorite Texas players.

Sark is recruiting like that. He likes recruiting in the south were the don't have big high school programs, and players have high upside. A lot of Texas high school recruits have resources that some other states don't, and might be close to their ceiling out of high school. He had one 3 star out of Louisiana, and a couple out of Florida. All together he has 7 3 star recruits in this class.
